Greenwood Foundation - LTC Winter Outing

The Greenwood Foundation is a privately-owned property near Wolverine that is protected with a conservation easement held by LTC. Greenwood welcomes the public to explore this diverse wildlife haven. Enjoy a groomed and tracked 3-mile trail loop for XC skiers and a shorter route for snowshoers. Look for signs of roaming elk, snowshoe hare and an eagle’s nest. Please provide your own skis or snowshoes, although snowshoes are available for children under 14. Enjoy a bonfire, chili, treats, and drinks afterwards! From I-75 overpass/Wolverine Exit continue east one mile along Afton Road. At intersection continue east along Webb Road for 3.5 miles. You will see a large “Greenwood” gate on your right and look for Conservancy event signs.
Schedule a Group Event
Greenwood’s mission allows us to open our facility to select groups for education or scientific purposes. We welcome these groups to experience this beautiful property in its natural state. Greenwood has a small cabin or bunkhouse for groups interested in staying overnight or for a weekend. There are many trails to choose from for hiking, skiing etc. Come and enjoy the simplicity of nature!
OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS: Greenwood furnishes the atmosphere, and groups bring their own sleeping gear and supplies.
-WINDSWEPT CABIN: Sleeps 20 on bunk beds, 8 people per bedroom with 4 people in the Chapparone’s bedroom Bunk House: Sleeps 16 on bunk beds. Overflow space for tents.
-For hands on learners, study in our nature classroom cabin in the woods.

GROUP RATES (10-35 guests): Cleaning fee only.
*This is a "no trace" facility, thank you for leaving it as you found it, so we do not have to charge excessive fees.
